1. What data we collect:

• Authentication: We use Firebase Authentication with Google login. The only stored identifier is the hashed user email, never the plain text email.
• Location: Sent with each search so we can find the places around you and name the region you are in. We do not keep a history of where you have been: the coordinates are used for that request and are not stored against your account. The name we get back for a region is cached for a limited period against a rounded coordinate rather than against a person.
• Notification token: The address Firebase uses to reach your device, kept only once you switch on event alerts and grant your phone's notification permission. It is used for one thing: a weekly note about events in your city matching the topics you follow. Switching the alert off forgets it, and so does deleting your account. If Firebase reports that the app has been removed from a device, we drop that token without being asked.
• Subscription: The purchase token issued by Google Play when you subscribe, used to confirm your plan with Google and to prevent one subscription being claimed by more than one account.
• Shared links: When you share a place, we record the link, the place and that it was you who created it, so the recipient can open it.
• Technical monitoring: Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry and Google Analytics, used exclusively for error tracking and app performance monitoring. Crash and error reports are processed by Google and by Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) and retained according to their own schedules.

2. How we use the data:

• To show relevant places based on user location and search preferences
• To generate intelligent summaries of reviews and weather using the Gemini API
• To ensure a personalized and functional experience
• To identify and fix technical issues with monitoring tools

3. Data sharing

We never sell your data. We use APIs from Foursquare, Google Geocoding, OpenWeatherMap and Gemini to display and generate content based on real data, and Firebase for authentication and notifications. Error reports go to Firebase Crashlytics and to Sentry. These services may collect data according to their respective privacy policies.

4. Data deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the "About" screen in the app menu. Doing so removes the links you have shared, discards your device notification token, cuts the account's link to Google sign-in, and deactivates the account so it can no longer be used.

The account record itself is kept for 12 months, in a deactivated state. It is not erased, because signing in again with the same Google account restores it rather than creating a new one. In full, what it still holds is:

• The hashed email — a one-way hash computed with a secret key, never the address itself. It is how a returning sign-in is matched to this record.
• The date a free trial was started, if you used one — so that a trial already spent cannot be claimed again with a second account.
• Your plan and the Google Play purchase token — so that a paid subscription is honoured if you come back, and so one subscription cannot be claimed by a different account.
• Your account role — for almost everyone this is simply "user".
• An internal identifier and four dates — when the record was created, when it was last changed, when you last signed in, and when you asked for deletion.

After 12 months the record is deleted outright, and with it everything in that list. In the meantime, nothing in it is your location or a way to reach you, and the hashed email cannot be read back into your address — but it can be matched against an address presented to us, which is precisely what recognizes you if you return. So we treat it as personal data rather than as anonymous. If you would rather the record were erased outright, write to [email protected] and we will do it.

One exception: an account blocked for breaking the Terms of Use. That record is not deleted when the 12 months are up, because deleting it would let the same Google account sign up again as though nothing had happened. It is reduced instead to the hashed email and the block itself — the trial date, the plan, the purchase token and the rest of the list above are erased — and what is left is kept for as long as the block stands.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. That is done in the Play Store.

5. Your rights

• You may delete your account and its data at any time, from within the app.
• You may ask us what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for a copy of it, or object to how it is used. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days.
• Your data is not shared with third parties for commercial purposes, and is never sold.

6. Security and encryption

All information is stored on secure servers using encryption and security best practices provided by Google and Heroku.

7. Data collection only during active use

Vaionde accesses your location only while the app is open and in use — never in the background.

8. Internal use of data

Usage data is used exclusively to keep Vaionde working and to improve it. It is never shared or sold to third parties for commercial purposes.

9. No commercial tracking

Vaionde does not use advertising, tracking cookies, or third-party SDKs for marketing or remarketing purposes.

10. How your email is stored

Your email address is never stored. What is stored is a cryptographic hash of it, computed with a secret key held only by the server, and used solely to prevent fraud and duplicate accounts. It cannot be read back into your address, and a copy of the database on its own cannot be tried against a list of addresses to find which one it came from. What it can do is match an address presented to the server, which is what recognizes you when you sign in again — so this is pseudonymized data rather than anonymous data, and we treat it as personal data accordingly.

11. Data retention

Your account data is retained while the account exists. When you delete it, everything is removed except the deactivated account record listed field by field in section 4 — and that record is itself deleted 12 months after you asked. The single thing that outlives that is a block for breaking the Terms of Use, kept as the one exception described in section 4.

Crash and error reports are held by Firebase Crashlytics and by Sentry under their own retention periods, which we do not control. Cached content from third-party APIs, such as region names and place photos, is temporary and expires on its own.

12. Foursquare and the Google Maps Platform

The place names, addresses, ratings, opening hours, photographs and comments Vaionde shows are provided by Foursquare. By using the app you are also bound by the Foursquare Terms of Service, and their handling of data is described in the Foursquare Privacy Policy.

The Google Maps Platform is still used to turn coordinates into street, district and city names. For that part you are also bound by Google's Terms of Service and the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

13. Who is responsible for your data

Vaionde is built and run by an independent developer — a natural person, based in Brazil — who is the controller of the data described in this policy. There is no company behind it.

Any matter concerning your personal data — a request for access, correction, a copy, deletion, or an objection to how it is used — goes to [email protected], which is also the channel required of a controller under Brazil's LGPD. We answer within 30 days.

1. Purpose of the App

Vaionde aims to help users discover nearby places based on their location, weather conditions, and preferences.

2. Account and Subscription

• Login is done through a Google account using Firebase Authentication.
• The premium plan is what opens a place: its photos, reviews and full details, along with the regional guide, searching somewhere other than where you are, choosing how far to look, and the full set of place categories. Without it, the list of nearby places is still available.
• A free trial is available once per account. While it is running you have the same access as a premium subscriber.

3. Cancellation and Deletion

• You can cancel your subscription at any time via the app store (Google Play Store).
• You can also delete your account at any time via the "About" screen in the app menu.
• Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription.

4. Responsibilities

Vaionde is not responsible for incorrect or outdated information about places or for AI-generated summaries, as this content is sourced externally. Users are responsible for using the app in a lawful and respectful manner.

6. Jurisdiction

In case of legal disputes, the court of São José dos Campos/SP, Brazil, will have jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by law.

7. AI-Generated Content

Vaionde uses artificial intelligence to write summaries of regions, of a place's reviews and of the weather. Some of those summaries are researched on the web as they are generated and show the pages they were drawn from; the rest are written from what the model already knows, with no source to cite. In either case the text may contain inaccuracies, be out of date, or fail to reflect the local reality.

Users should treat this information as supportive and not as their sole source of truth. Vaionde is not responsible for decisions made based on this content. If you find something wrong, write to [email protected].

8. Usage limits and daily quota

To ensure system stability and service sustainability, Vaionde may apply daily usage quotas or limit access to certain features, especially those that rely on artificial intelligence or third-party APIs. These limits are intended to prevent abuse and maintain proper functionality for all users.

Premium users may have access to higher quotas. In cases of excessive use, access to certain features may be temporarily restricted, with an appropriate notice displayed in the app.

9. Free trial, subscription and renewal

A free trial is offered once per account and requires no payment details. It lasts 24 hours from the moment it is started and grants the same access as a subscription. When it ends, access returns to the free tier on its own: nothing is charged and nothing renews. The number of trials running at the same time is capped, so it may not always be available immediately.

Vaionde also offers an optional monthly subscription granting access to premium features. Payment is processed automatically through the app store (Google Play) with monthly renewal.

You may cancel the renewal at any time through your app store account. Premium access will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle. No partial refunds are provided for unused time.

10. Use by minors

Vaionde is not intended for users under 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you must use the app only with the consent and supervision of a legal guardian.

By using the app, the user declares they have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms of Use. Vaionde is not responsible for access or purchases made by minors without authorization.
